10.4.26Not Ready For ChristmasThe older I get, the less I like Christmas. Saw this at Lowe’s and shuddered to myself at the thought of impending Christmas music, forced social functions, and the pressure of gift giving. I wish I could skip ahead to January as soon as Thanksgiving is over.

10.8.26BLINK Day 1Shot the opening for BLINK, then met up with friends and bopped around the city looking at the different installations. I really liked the way the fountain was lit when we went to the Square.

10.9.26BLINK Day 2I am exhausted from a week+ straight of event coverage, but that won’t stop me from getting out to see what BLINK has to offer. I didn’t shoot for anyone but myself tonight. It was nice running around by myself and not worrying about losing anyone.

10.13.26Regal Theatre8K is stabilizing the old Regal Theatre. They asked me to fly drone inside to capture a bit of what it looks like both inside and out. I recorded video and shot a good number of stills before I wrecked the drone on a hanging wire. I didn’t see it on the feed, and I didn’t see it with my line of sight to the drone, either. The craft connected with it, the video feed went crazy, and I heard it hit several things before crashing to the concrete below.Long story short, I’ll need to replace it as I didn’t opt for the insurance. Sigh.

10.14.26The OriginalThe new Charley Harper exhibit at CAM features a load of his work in the big gallery upstairs. This piece stopped me in my tracks because I’ve had a print of this on the wall of several places I’ve lived over my lifetime. My parents had it up around the houses I arew up in, and then they gave it to me when I moved into my own house. It’s at the top of my staircase at present. Seeing the original of something I’ve liked for as long as I can remember was surreal.
