3.1.26Anderson FerryRode the ferry from the airport to the Cincy side this morning. I wish we had these every few miles all along the river.
3.2.26Portrait WorkA portrait of artist Mike Agricola in his home studio in Dayton, KY.
3.3.26Carrot HoundShe goes mental over carrots. Can’t get enough of them.
3.4.26Art of CollectingScene from an event at the Cincinnati Art Museum this evening.
3.5.26Enterprise-DMade a card for my friend Brett’s birthday. We’re both Trekkies, so I put the D on the front of his card. I originally messed up the background, so I ended up cutting out the ship and gluing it to a different backdrop. Turned out fine, I think.
3.6.26Bockfest 2026Met up with friends at the parade and enjoyed the first night of Bockfest. I was surprisingly warm for early March. I can’t remember the last time it was this seasonal for this event.
3.7.26Dinner TrainWe went to the Boathouse for dinner and I got to see the passenger train before it chugged away. First time I’ve caught it at night!
3.8.26Merch?I needed new stickers to match my new brand for my cart and equipment boxes, but the smallest amount I could order is 25. So now I have too many of these and I don’t know what to do with them.
3.9.26This Place MattersAs seen on Holman Street, Covington.
3.10.26Destined For Destruction The city paid Vince to clear the brush away from this pedestrian bridge that’s going to be demolished and replaced soon.
3.11.26Unicorn PartyAshley got this getup for a party she’s going to next month.
3.12.26Macro BrickSlapped a bunch of magnification diopters and took a photo of the brick on the porch.
3.13.26Getting AnswersI have been feeling absolutely awful the last few days. Long story short, I needed a scan to see what’s going on in my abdomen. The good news: it’s nothing serious. The bad news: I don’t actually know what’s wrong with me at this moment.
3.14.26Thanks, America!Felt healthy enough to briefly leave the house. Got gas in my vehicle and it’s the most I’ve spent in years. The no-new-war candidate decided that was all bullshit, and now we’re bombing the Middle East yet again. Obviously the loss of life is the main awful issue, and that shouldn’t be minimized in the least. Since half of Americans don’t seemingly understand or care about that, though, maybe spending more at the pumps will knock some sense into them.Who am I kidding? It won’t make a damn bit of difference.
3.15.26Porch-SittingActually felt a little better today and managed to get outside for a bit. At the end of the evening, we sat on the porch and watched the sunset with our novels and reading lights. I wish I could do this daily. Once it gets consistently warmer, I plan to.
3.16.26Drip!Macro photo of a wet snoot.
3.17.26Soon-to-be-ParentsThis is the last time I’ll see Mike and Jenn as a childless couple. They’re scheduled to have their son in early April, though there’s a possibility of him coming sooner. Transitions in life often don’t have hard lines, and recognizing when there is one is a treat. I wanted to capture that moment before everything changes for them.
3.18.26Final LightI thought this moment at the Cincinnati Art Museum was quietly beautiful.
3.19.26Miami: Day 1We went to Miami for Allie’s birthday. We’re staying in a big house with everyone, and Ashley and I are sharing a room with Justin. We briefly walked around a beachy area before heading to the VRBO.
3.20.26Miami: Day 2Interesting porch decor at this house.
3.21.26Miami: Day 3The Art Deco District of Miami has some pretty architecture. We went to Mac’s Club Deuce and it was the best dive bar I’ve been to in a bit.
3.22.26Miami: Final DayI’m glad they’re doing this to the pumps. I complained about prices a few days ago on here, and I still don’t think this will make any difference, but I like it when MAGA is given a taste of their own dumb medicine.
3.23.26Missed WorkI had two jobs lined up after getting back from this Miami trip, and I missed both of them due to illness. Really annoyed that I will be missing out on all that work. Not sure what’s up with me, but I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. I laid still for as much of the day as possible, watching Roku City on my side and eating handfuls of pills to make me feel better.
3.24.26Two DaysStill feeling the effects of whatever I contracted at the end of the Miami trip and taking it as easy as possible. Baseball comes back in two days; looking very forward to it.
3.25.26Left the House, Saw a ClockFeeling a lot better today, thankfully. I ventured out to the Pro Shop down at the ballpark to pick up a jersey for the season. Along the way, I stopped to admire the Verdin Clock Joey Votto gifted the Reds recently. He’ll always be one of my favorites.
3.26.26Opening Day with 8KFor the second year in a row, I photographed 8K Construction as they marched in the Opening Day Parade. Here’s a shot of Michael looking epic as hell on Race Street.
3.27.26ExhaustedReds lost on Opening Day, and I feel physically bad again. Probably going to get blood work done soon to see what’s going on in there. I jokingly have a theory it’s related to the weather as it was summer-like yesterday and today it’s back to winter, but there has to be something more going on in there. My mood is poor, as is my mental health today. This is the only photo I took all day: the jersey I bought from the Pro Shop a couple of days ago.
3.28.26Diet SlippingI’ve been generally eating healthy over the last few weeks as I figure out why I feel so poorly all the time, but today I made an exception: I had the cheese coney pizza from Wayfarer Tavern, and it was excellent.Sitting on the porch with the fire going, pizza box on my lap, the Reds on TV, and the sun shining made for a really pleasant evening.
3.29.26What’s Out There?Myrtle inspects the street from Ashley’s grandmother’s front room couch.
3.30.26Owen LouisMike and Jenn had their son, Owen, yesterday morning. He came earlier than they anticipated, and everyone is healthy and happy. Mike asked if we wanted to come meet him while they were still at the hospital.I can’t believe my buddy I’ve known since we were 16 and 17 respectively has a baby now. It’s so surreal (in a good way).
3.31.26Sage and His WorkWent to Single Batch to shoot some new stuff they’re shipping to Connecticut soon. Sage, one of the guys working in the shop, is an incredible metal and woodworker who repurposed a bunch of steel from a scrapyard in Cleveland into an intricate base for a height-adjustable table. The wheel on the side controls how tall the table stands, and he welded the owner’s name into the bottom of the frame for greater personalization.I set up the camera to capture the piece itself, but snapped a few quick frames early while he was wiping it down. Glad I did; I like seeing the artist with the art.
